Food Systems & Food Access

We strengthen the entire local food system—from production to distribution to shared learning—so fresh, healthy food can move from local sources to households, schools, and community programs.
This work includes:
  • Supporting the Food Pantry Network and coordinating food distribution
  • Supporting local food production, including Hydroponic Grow Towers that support fresh food at pantries
  • Producer support through working groups and forums
  • Public education and outreach about food access, SNAP, WIC, and healthy school meals
  • Community leadership through groups such as the food system community learning and leadership circle (CLLC) and food production team
  • Regional convenings such as the bi-annual Archuleta Food Summit

Healthy Archuleta helps create and sustain shared spaces for learning, leadership, and coordination, where community members and partners work together across systems and develop community solutions.
This includes:
  • Community Learning & Leadership Circles (CLLCs)
  • CLAC en Español, a Spanish-language, community-led group supported by Healthy Archuleta
  • Partner learning and workforce capacity building
  • Cross-sector collaboration that strengthens food, health, and community systems

CLAC en Español
CLAC en Español is a community-led learning and leadership circle where Spanish-speaking community members meet regularly to build connection, support health and wellness, and share responsibility for activities and events.
Healthy Archuleta helped stand up the group and continues to provide support, while leadership, planning, and participation are shaped by community members.
