Community conversations

Community Conversations (CC)
From April 8, 2020 through May 26, 2022, we hosted remote community conversation sessions via zoom.  Community members during the stay at home order and social distancing and through to 2022 had a chance to join us, learn, and share. We posted the invitations to our facebook page. We are now mostly in person and work on learning as teams and Community Learning and Leadership Circles (CLLC). Click here to send us an email if you want to join our efforts as a volunteer.
Community Conversation Topic:
Preventive Care Access & Utilization
Featuring San Juan Basin Public Health

Thursday, May 26, 2022
2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Call in Number: 1-253-215-8782 Meeting ID: 839 7886 2954
This session is an opportunity to learn about the types of preventive and primary care services that are available in Archuleta County. Healthy Archuleta, in partnership with Archuleta County, is working to complete a nutrition security and health equity assessment over the next couple of years. We are looking at two broad areas related to food and preventative healthcare issues and opportunities in Archuleta County and will seek to capture the voices and experiences of the community in these areas. Thursday’s conversation will focus on our community's experience as it relates to preventative health care access and utilization (coverage, timeliness, workforce, and service). According to HealthCare.gov “Preventative services is defined as routine health care that includes screenings, check-ups, and patient counseling to prevent illnesses, disease, or other health problems.”
